Comments Air Pacific was a pleasure to fly. My only complaint was their weight limitations on our luggage. I'd like to explain it, but I can't. They can't. However, they are quite certain that the penalties for going over are very punitive indeed! There is conflicting information within their own web site, our travel agent gave us yet a third set of restrictions. We flew down there with each of us having a bag of a bit less than 50 pounds (we left our octopuses and BCs at home) and breezed through. On the way back after leaving and consuming many pounds they then said we exceeded the weight limit. We showed them a print out from their own web site, the man shrugged and let us through without paying. Anyway, Paradise was BEATUTIFUL! The bures (think Gilligan's Island style huts) were spacious and well decorated. There's an outdoor Jacuzzi and shower that was heavenly. I've never met a more friendly and accommodating group of people in my life. They know you by first name upon your arrival and are constantly looking for ways to make your trip more pleasurable. You are first greeted by the owners Terri and Allan with a warm cloth to wipe your face, given a brief tour of the place, then a foot massage with a fruit plate and drink on the deck of your bure. The food was as the locals eat and I was thankful for that experience even though much of it was not to my liking. It was all very fresh, but not as seasoned. The drinks were...stick with the beer. Bitters was my beer of choice. There was not much of a night life. However, we really enjoyed reading talking and decompressing from life's stresses. The diving on the reef that was 10 minutes from the resort was extremely nice. Lots to see and the best I've ever seen if it weren't for Rainbow Reef that we went to every other day. The diving at Rainbow was unreal. The colors of the soft corals highlighted by so many fish that it almost obliterated the reef was like a Peter Max dream on acid. Simply crazy!
