Comments I had a wonderful diving experience staying at Taveuni Dive resort. The bungalows were very clean, modern and spacious, with a comfortable bed and ceiling fans. No air conditioning but it was not needed. The staff were all very friendly and knew me by name. I paid a flat rate to eat all my meals at the resort and was very pleased with the variety, quality, quantity, and value. The dive staff were superb. Once I delivered my equipment to them on day 1, I never had to touch it. They changed tanks between dives then cleaned and stored all my equipment at the end of each day. The next day they brought all my equipment to the boat for me. The dive guides were very safety conscious, but reasonable. Divers low on air went up with one guide, leaving other divers below with the other guide(s). Dives all lasted 50-60 minutes. There was frequent current but the guides were knowledgeable and made sure the current was manageable and divers were safe. The underwater visibility was good and the reef was very beautiful and healthy. There were plenty of varied types of fish with occasional reef sharks too. The dive sites are all within 10-15 min boat rides from the resort and an hour surface interval was taken at sandy beaches close by. The resort is very upscale, the diving is terrific and EVERYONE at the resort or in the dive boat was super friendly and accommodating.
