Comments Soft coral abounds in white, purple, yellow, and orange with an entire wall of white and purple. Also one of the greatest number of species of fish in the world along with loads of hard coral. Planning the timing of your dive trip is important so that can dive the great white wall. The current direction and speed of the current limits when the wall can be enjoyed. Contact Tavenue Ocean Sports to schedule your trip to include the great white wall. Tavenue ocean sports has briefings about the fish with pictures from a book. Some other dive operations have similar briefings. They hand draw a map of the dive cite on a white board showing the current direction, the location of where we drop in from the boat, the path we follow and the depths recommended and the safety stop location. This is not a common feature in briefings. Special features or fish are pointed out to look for on the dive. Example, blue ribbon eel. Usually they break up the divers into small groups of two to six divers. Dive masters check the divers air about half way into the dive particularly if you are new to this dive team. And now for what is really a treat is the surface interval. Julie is the owner along with the support of her mom and dad. Mom prepares a treat, much of which is from their garden. How does this sound. Brownies, lemon cake, carrot cake, cookies, hummus with fresh carrots, celery, roti, fruit, bananas, papaya, mom makes a special drink out of hibiscus, (delicious), tea, water. This past Sunday we had a local well known musican to provide music during the surface interval. That was a first for us and a delightful addition. I will close by saying that we have been coming to Tavenue for 7 years and it never gets old. I’m climbing up in age (80) and the staff are so helpful, kind and fun. Every dive we come up and give thanks God for the opportunity to see His creation that’s hidden from most of the world. Amazing.
