Comments We stayed at Wananavu for 3 nights and dove with them for two days. The resort has a nice Fijian feel and the staff was friendly, gracious, and accommodating as can be. We enjoyed every meal and the local musicians that played during the evening. We had a great time diving with Dive Wananavu. Of the three dive operations (Wanavavu, Volivoli, and Matava) we dove with during this trip they stood out for their “Princess Service.” They took care of whatever concerns we had or we asked of them with an honest smile and the crew worked hard to find the right dive for us each and every time. To be honest, there were just 1-2 couples diving while we were there, so I can’t comment on how well they might handle a large group, but from the way they treated us, I would bet it would be a smoothly run, safe, and totally enjoyable experience. We dove tall coral heads with many swim thoughs and pinnacles. The viz was good - often 40- 60’+. The variety, colors and numbers of reef fish was truly amazing. It is a 30-50 minute boat ride to the dive sites. They basically offer 2 tank morning dives but you can arrange for a 3 tank with lunch. In Fiji the local currency is king so convert your dollars/euros to Fijian dollars at a bank in Suva before you head for the resorts. There is a 3% surcharge for using you credit card but we were able to use our debit cards an avoid the surcharge at several places
