Comments there are only 3 dive sites in tikehua. there is a mantas cleaning station, and two dive sites on the pass that allows access in/out of the atoll.

the boat was great for transit, and the captain was excellent. however, entry was done via backroll, and the distance from the deck to the water was quite a bit. it was also hard to position oneself on the deck to do the backroll. so entry was difficult. exit was via some ladders on the back, they were not great ladders. so basically entry/exit is pretty problematic.

dive master was a cowboy. he took his own camera on each dive. having said that he seemed to be able to manage the dive well, and did not bug anyone. still, i don't believe divemasters should bring cameras.

gear worked but it was marginal. they were always having to repair something.

the manta site was shallow and we saw mantas every dive. it was just great. the pass sites are equally fantastic. schools of big and small fish, sharks, barracuda schools, really just about anything you wanted to see.

pearl beach resort is great. just be sure to get an overwater bungalow on the far side of the resort (away from the dive center).
