Very friendly and knowledgable dive masters. Although they were native French-speakers, their English was great and it was very easy to communicate with them, both above and below water. The pre-dive brief was clearly given before each dive, including safety information, dive site characteristics and water-entry procedures. On our first day of diving we saw extensive tropical fish, a couple of sea turtles and a surprise at the very end of the dive - a baby manta ray! We were down for a total bottom dive of around 45 minutes. The only complaint from one of my fellow divers was the current, which was strong in her opinion, but it was intended to be a drift dive. The second day we again saw a lot of tropical fish and some turtles again as well. No mantas the second dive :( Water entry for both dives was a rear entry via zodiac boats. It was many of the divers' first rear entry, but all was successful. As the dives were outside the lagoon, the water was a little choppier on the trip to and from the dive sites, but it was only a 10 - 15 minute trip from the dive operation to the dive site. Upon returning from the dives, there was tea and cookies waiting for us at the dive operation :) Also, since we were traveling via a cruise, Top Dive picked us up from the dock that the tenders took us to. Both days they were on time, there waiting for us. Great start to the dive trip, would definitely return! |
