Comments Academy Bay has a fixed schedule of dive locations each day. In 6 days of diving we went to 5 different islands. Gordon rocks was the only repeat dive site. Travel times typically 1 hour or more. [One day 3 hours] Two dives per day with snacks of fruit, chips and cookies during surface interval and full hot lunch after second dive. Leave 7 AM and return between 2:30 and 4:30 PM daily. There were sharks (5 different kinds) and turtles on nearly every dive. Lots of fish on every dive - many in large schools. Back roll entry into water and remove gear in water and climb solid ladder on return. Crew assists donning gear and then taking it off in the water on return. Generally the water temperature is too cold to support a significant number of corals. We had exceptionally warm water, though there were some thermoclines. We saw 4 kinds of rays during the week.
