Wolf and Darwin are probably my favorite dive sites in the entire world - anything can show up at any time, and its often something big and awesome. We had tons of big whale sharks, schooling sharks, lots of interesting behavior, ORCAS(!), all sorts of surprises along the way.

The Galapagos Master is also a great boat. The accommodations are very comfortable, there are 15L tanks for all that want them, great dive guides and good food. The diving is very varied from the north to the south, and the temps can swing drastically across the days. This is why many choose to bring a wet suit for the north and dry suit for the south (temps range from 24C to 13C on one trip!). I was 'fine' in my 7mm, but next time I will bring an open cell suit for the south since it can get so so cold.

If you are considering the Galapagos - and you are an experienced diver - the choice is simple: you must go via liveaboard. There is plenty to do before and after your liveaboard, and snorkeling with sea lions in San Cristobal is one of my favorite activities. All the wildlife is very interactive, and very very unique. The marine iguana dive in Cape Douglas was also a highlight for me. 10/10 recommend!

UW Photo Comments The variation in subject matter is a real treat for image makers - from big pelagics and schools of fish and sharks to unique endemic animals such as the marine iguanas, there is likely to be something for every type of photographer here.
