Comments I only did four dives with ScubaIguana since I and my girlfriend, a non-diver were doing land based tour on the Galapagos. I enjoyed the dives and the fish life on the reefs. My one complaint with the dive operator was that they make you use too much weight. They claim that the reason for this is the saltiness of the water which they feel will make you too buoyant. I kept running low on air on the dives due to the excessive weight, 22 pounds. I weigh 150 pounds. We also visited Macchu Picchu on this trip. We booked the entire package including the diving with Southern Explorations. The cost of the dive through the tour operator was $300 for a single day of two tank dives. I booked the second day of two tank dive with Scuba Iguana on my own and was charged $175. Saw Hammerhead sharks and whitetips on all four dives. Waters in Puerto Ayora ware very clean with excellent visibility.
