Comments Sea Escape took care of all transfers from San Diego to Ensenada, Mexico. Border crossing was smooth and it was about a 3 hour trip. We got on the Sea Escape for our 20 hour journey to Guadalupe Islands. The overnight crossing was a little rough, but not horrible (the return crossing was smooth sailing!). We anchored on the lee side of the island in nice calm flat water for 3 days. It was cage diving for Great White Sharks. There was a deep cage that could go to 50-60 feet and 2 cages that went to 8 feet. The deep cage wasn't used much because of bad visibility at that depth due to the recent hurricane. Shallow cages had 60-70 feet of visibility. First day we had a few great whites. Day two had a few more and day three we had alot! The boat had recently been updated with 2 new cabins on the second floor. We stayed in one of the new cabins and it was very comfortable. The dining room and lounge were also remodeled and more comfortable. The food was out of this world. Chavo the cook worked hard and kept us well feed. The crew was exceptional. Very helpful and very personable. Any need was immediately taken care of. Mates worked morning to night getting the sharks close to the cages and even taught us the shark dance! Mingling with the crew was like hanging out with 8 good friends. The total experience was fun, fattening (thanks Chavo) and exhilarating (thanks Great Whites). Would highly recommend it and would do it again in a New York minute!
