Comments I booked this trip based on the itinerary - I liked the variety it offered diving both Wakitobi and Alor area. This is what the Aggressor web site said and still says as of Nov 27, 2016: "These “combination cruises” are split into two different sections: Buton and the Tukang Besi Islands (Wakatobi) to the north and the collection of islands from Alor to Flores, the eastern end of Nusa Tenggara in the south." In between we were supposed to visit a live volcano. However, upon arrival in Maumere, we were told the boat was going directly to Wakitobi and would spend most of the time diving in that area. No explanation was given - the diving director said as far as he know that was the plan from the start. Several passengers were upset about this.

This dive was highly discounted (32% off), so perhaps this was done to save fuel cost? In any event a trip itinerary should be as stated on the web site unless there are problems such as rough weather - on this trip the seas were flat and the weather beautiful. The only response I got via my travel agent it that the boat is locally owned and the owner can change the itinerary at any time. When I travel half way around the world I expect to get what I paid for - in this case it felt like bait and switch. I have had seven trips on Aggressor - this will be my last one.

To add insult to injury, upon arrival at Wakitobi our cruise director requested permission from Wakitobi Resort to dive their house reef. They refused and told us we were not allowed to dive other premier sites close by like Turkey Beach and the Zoo.

Its too bad about this - the crew and boat were actually very nice. The diving was decent - mainly walls with nice coral and fish but not many critters. Feel cheated as this trip lacked the variety I and several others expected.

My advice to anyone considering the Indo Aggressor - the trip may not be "as advertised."
