Comments This trip was actually in August 2013, but that date wasn't available in the drop-down box. The Arenui is nice, but not really "luxury" as they like to market it. We had one of the two master cabins, and the shower didn't work essentially for the whole trip. Just a tiny dribble. We mentioned it to the cruise directors repeatedly, but no change. The owner came onboard the last night, and he said something about a new pressure pump being inadequate. We ended up showering on deck, although we of course expected more based on the marketing. The Komodo diving was nice, although the currents were exceptionally strong. The food on the boat was good, although it too wasn't quite at the "luxury" level. I think UC did a full article on the Arenui, and it seemed quite accurate based on our experience. Overall a nice boat and a nice trip, but probably closer to average than to luxury, perhaps being a bit closer to the luxury side. We just returned from a ten-night trip on the WAOW in Alor, and they set the "luxury" bar quite high. That trip was indeed exceptional in all respects--boat, cabin, diving, food, service. For the prices involved, the WAOW (although a bit more expensive than the Arenui) offers what seems to be a better value.

P.S.--When we discussed the cabin/shower situation with the owner, he was going to look into it and get us a "formal reply". We didn't ask for that and didn't really need a reply as such, but we never heard from the guy.
