Comments The amount of time you spent in airplanes and airports is daunting, but it's worth it. The diving in Raja Ampat is stunning. The density of fish is a problem for photographers, they get n the way.

The people in Indonesia are incredibly friendly. The crew on the Arena feel like long lost family. The food was great, accommodations luxurious and the diving spectacular.

The one thing I would note is that this is a wooden boat and when you do open water crossings it talks to you. Some people find the creaking and groaning disconcerting, I like to just listen

Closest Airport Sorong Getting There Singapore Airlines from SFO to Chang Airport in Singapore then on to Jakarta. We spent the night at the FM7 Resort and most of the next day napping, swimming and killing time until our Garuda Airlines flight to Makassar and then on to Sorong. It was 23 hours to Jakarta and then another 10 hours to Sorong. It's a long trip.

UW Photo Comments As usual I have to report that I am not the photographer in my dive team, my wife is. It seemed that there was a fair amount of layout area and plug-ins. I get the impression that there is never enough room or plugs, but that just the observation a non-photographer.
