Comments The Menjangan Dynasty Beach Glamping Resort and Dive Centre is located in far northwest Bali approximately 4.5 hours from the airport. This resort is known for its air conditioned "glamping" tents. The grounds are beautiful, and the tents comfortable. Your tent has an indoor shower, sink and toilet, and a small deck outside. Meals are served in the open-air dining room. Breakfast is included in the cost of your accommodation. Lunch is served (sandwich) on the dive boat as part of your dive package and dinner is an additional cost with a menu of selections.

While the resort advertises as a dive resort it really appears to be more of a honeymooner's location. The dive operation is outsourced to Bali Hai Divers who has various locations on the island. Our group of three were the only divers during our week with the exception of one couple who went out one morning.

The reef around Menjangan Island is beautiful but surprisingly did not have a tremendous amount to view and photograph. Depending on the boat you are assigned, the ride to Mengangan Island can be as long as 45 minutes. We had a very windy week and on two days it was not feasible to get to Menjangan Island. The alternate dive sites for those two days were mediocre at best.

Compared to the other Bali location we stayed (see my report on Villa Markisa) Menjangan Dynasty is much more expensive and the overall diving experience not as good.
