Comments Dived 2 days (6 dives) with Blue Season Bali in the waters of Nusa Penida. The dive shop van promptly picked me up on both days. at 7 A.M. We then go the dive shop to pick up gear and other divers. After several minutes, we then go the boat launch area. Here we wait for at least 30 minutes to wade through the low tide to the dive boat.

On both days, the dive boat was very crowded. There is no camera rinse, no camera table and no dedicated area for cameras. I did not take my large camera rig on the 2nd dive day for fear of damage to it.

The dive conditions were a bit challenging with cold water and some surge and current. Crystal Bay is noted for mola molas but we had no encounters. Did have a great manta encounter for about 15 minutes at Manta Point.

Had 2 different dive guides; one quite inexperienced and the other quite knowledgable.

The packed lunch was edible enough.

Upon return to the boat departure area at about 3 P.M., there is a wade of several hundred meters due to the low tide. The we have a van ride back to the dive shop, rinse gear and hose off camera then another van ride to the resort.

Will probably not use this dive operator again.
