Comments An important note - if you travel via Singapore, you may want to collect your luggage and transfer to Silk air on your own. We arrived in Manado (closest airport to Lembeh Strait), without luggage because we trusted Silk to transfer the luggage per the Silk Air website, and though we were given money to buy incidentals, there was nowhere to buy at the resort, and the town nearby leaves a bit to be desired if you are looking for clothes for Americans or Europeans. Once at Kungkungan Bay Resort the staff was wonderful, we were given a resort orientation, then taken to our rooms, the staff brings the luggage to your room for you. Once you unpack your dive gear, just leave it on your porch the next morning for the dive staff to collect, then you never touch it again, until they deliver it back to your room at the end of your stay.

The diving was incredible, a bit of coral, a wreck or two, and ALOT of muck. The dive staff asks that you put a wish list of critters on the eraser board, and will do their best to check everything off for you.. blue ring octopus, Mimic Octopus, Tons of shrimps, crabs, Hairy frogfish, Ornate Ghost Pipefish, Cardinals, etc etc etc....

The restaurant had a great staff, the food is their own interpretation of international favorites, and open 24/7.

We had a deluxe beach front room and it was great, the bed was comfortable, there was a little couch, coffee table, desk, wardrobe, and full bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. The room staff kept the room clean and bug free the entire stay.

A overall wonderful trip and we plan to go back!
