Comments We absolutely love diving at KBR. The first time we went was in 2000 and fell in love with both it and muck diving. We returned in say 2004 or so and had a bad experience (there had been a change in management). The diving was still phenomenal though.

About 4 or 5 years ago, we decided to go back and fell in love with it again. The diving is phenomenal, the staff are so, so friendly and the service is over the top.

If you're not into macro diving, this is not the place for you. But, if you're into it or are willing to give it a try, definitely go here. We've seen so many interesting critters here--think mimic and wonderpus octopi, flamboyant cuttlefish, ornate ghost pipefish, frogfish bigger than your head and smaller than your pinky, cockatoo waspfish, rhinopias, free-roaming seahorses, pygmy seahorses, snake eels, sea snakes....the list goes on and on.

The setting is secluded and pretty quiet (especially since the Indonesian government cracked down on all of the foreign fishing boats). The food is tasty and they're quite willing to try different things out.

And, I can't say enough about the staff and management. They are beyond amazing! We will be back!

On the downside, the weather is variable. Storms come in and out, but every once in awhile it pretty much rains all day.
