Comments [None]Macro diving is not for everyone but this has some of the best macro diving on the planet. I've been to other sites like Anilao in Philippines and this compares very favorably. Dives are 5 to 15 minutes away by small boat. Back to shore after every dive and for lunch. Food had good variety and was made to order: no mediocre buffet. Guides are excellent and work hard to find requests. Blue ring octopus, wonderpus, frogfish, pygmy sea horse, etc. Saw everything except mimic octopus but others saw one of those. Only did 15 dives in week because I did 4 afternoon snorkels with wife on house reef, which had large variety of coral and fish but, unfortunately, also plastic trash (cleanup wouldn't help much as new trash floats in with currents daily). Night dives available most nights. This was a combo with a second week at Tasik Ria Resort, a few hours drive back towards Manado.
Staff went all out for barbeque night with dancers and singing.
Final day was a great safari to a park with Macaques and Tarsier monkeys.
