Comments Second trip there in three months. A small resort run by an Dutch expat couple. She does the gardens and he the diving. This started with us looking for a economical 1 week trip easily traveled from Singapore. Pick up and drop off at the airport is provided. Rental equipment is available. Divers are mainly European but the staff all speak English. No instructor on staff at present. The diving is done from a comfortable boat and lunch is on the boat. You can dive out at the islands (Bunaken Marine Park) or along the local shore line. Generally two dives in the park and one along the shore on the way back. We like it because you can get the ocean diving out at the islands and on the way back do a critter dive. There is a local house reef you can dive from shore as well. We lucked out with minimal current this time but it normally is flowing along the walls. Accommodation is in individual chalets and WiFi is available but slow sometimes. Power is European (two round prongs) so bring an extra multi plug. Power does go out but they had a generator. Food is good, you pick your lunch and they have it on the boat the next day. There is a chamber available locally in the Manado area. Shore tours are available for your day off. Recommend the local inland market tour.

High-lite of the week for me was seeing an absolutely huge Thresher shark out at the park down at 105' It came out of the blue to look at us then quickly swam off. Linda got the pic.

We will be going back next year.
