Comments Lumba Lumba was the 2nd part of our Indonesia trip. We had just finished almost a week at Black Sands. Bruce and Fung suggested a completely different experience (it was!) on the other side of North Sulewesi near Manado. It was wonderful!
Beautiful corals, tons of sea life, wonderful resort.
On one of the boat dives out to Bunaken, we were surrounded by a very large pod of dolphins. There were riding the bow and performing. We were with them for 10 minutes. It was awesome.
On one of the dives we saw - and I am not kidding - perhaps 100? 200? turtles. There were so many we lost count. We have been diving for over 30 years and we believe we saw more turtles on that dive than we have ever seen in the total of all of our previous dives. Most were sleeping in cracks and ledges in the wall or coming in/going out from the wall. There were turtles sleeping on top of each other.
Wonderful sea life. We hope to go there again!

UW Photo Comments FYI there are a lot of steps going up and down from the bungalows to the dining room/bar and to the boats. The boats are across the street from the rest of the resort. Not to worry - they will drive you if it is too much.
