Comments	I have stayed at Spice Islands Dive and Resort three times. Why do I return to Spice Island Dive when Indonesia has many fabulous dive destinations? I love the peacefulness of this beautiful resort and the staff who attend to your every need, but most of all, I return because this is the home of the Psychedelic Frogfish, found only in Ambon. I love muck diving and am determined to photograph this elusive critter. The resort maintains a dive operation able to handle large groups of divers. The dive center has showers, drying racks, dunk tanks for dive gear, and dunk tanks and air hoses for cameras and strobes maintained in a separate area to avoid unintentional damage. Nitrox is available. The camera room is well-lighted and has spacious desk areas with electric outlets. Be sure to bring a multiprong travel adapter. The air conditioning in the room is frigid. Personally, to avoid fogging, I take care of my cameras in my room The dining room and lounge area are large and comfortable. Menus are posted before each meal and usually offer a vegetarian choice. If diving the Banda Sea on a liveaboard, Spice Island Dive and Resort is also a great place to stay a few days or a few days after your trip.
