Comments A hard trip travel-wise and something we wanted to cross off our bucket list before we got any older. The 17 hour leg to Singapore wasn’t as bad as I anticipated. I had honestly been dreading it, but it wasn’t that rough. We did get an exit row though, so that helped. We over nighted in Jakarta at the place recommended by the All Star Velocean staff and it was a little quirky but fine. The place they had recommended in Sarong was not getting decent reviews so we opted for a better, slightly more expensive hotel and it was really nice. It was the Aston hotel.
Our trip was Raja Ampat and Koon island, departing from Sarong and ending at Ambon for 11 nights. The weather was cloudy a lot with rain frequent.
The dive boat was an exceptionally nice one. The service from the crew was absolutely top notch. They could not have been nicer, or more accommodating.

One dive guide to 4 divers. Our dive guide Leon was an absolute gem. Closest Airport Sarong Getting There We flew thru Singapore to Jakarta, overnighted there then flew to Sarong the next morning. Departed from Ambon, back to Jakarta and thru Singapore.
