Comments This was a bucket list trip and overall I was a bit disappointed. If you are a macro aficionado you will probably enjoy but other than a few turtles that were pretty skittish I did not see any fish life bigger than a foot or a meter long.

We heard evidence of dynamite fishing, on one afternoon dive as soon as we submerged we heard a very loud bang, I honestly thought the boat had exploded. As soon as we surfaced our dive guide confirmed the dynamite fishing. The resort does a good job of protecting certain areas but outside of those areas?? Which is why I believe the overall fish life was so limited. Very sad it hurts my soul as a diver to see this!

One dive site had lots of dead coral which when I mentioned to our guide she acted surprised until I showed her the video. Perhaps no surprise as great as she was at pointing out the real small stuff with her head so close into the reef was she missing the big picture?

I would like to support this resort because without the visiting divers I would hate to see what the health of the reefs would look like.

Overall I was disappointed with the marine life unless you are totally into macro. I spoke with several guests that had been here before and they confirmed the health of the marine life is in decline.
