Comments An abundance of diversity, sealife and healthy reef systems are what keeps taking us back to Indonesia, despite having to travel for 2 days to get half way around the world. Wakatobi Dive Resort in South Sulawesi is an incredible destination and extremely well run on all levels- the dive operation, the restaurant, and overall resort. Very friendly and helpful staff; delicious and more than plentiful food with lots of selection and catering to specialty diets as needed. The dive operation is extremely organized; the boats are very comfortable and the divemasters are top notch, highlighting and pointing out sights and critters. Divemasters want to know what you the divers want to see and they will try their hardest to find it. Long bottom times and slow easy pace. And the diving - just SO much to see- schools of reef fish everywhere, big game fish like tuna and trevally at some sites, such colorful soft and hard corals; beautiful nudibranchs and flatworms, and lots of critters including pygmy seahorses. My UW photos can't do justice to the sights. And hot face cloths, warm beverages and snacks after every dive- Wow!! 37 dives over 13 days of diving and hardly a repeated dive site, although that would be ok too because they were so good. Loved it!!
