Comments We were scheduled to be on the repositioning cruise of Pelagian to Wakatobi followed by a week at the resort. Due to circumstances beyond the control of Wakatobi, we were delayed in our departure for a number of days reducing our dive experience. There was a degree of poor communication during the delay that lead to some very disgruntled divers, but I must say now that the administration of Wakatobi have made good on their word to go above and beyond to ensure that we have the best possible experience. We were amongst the first to experience their Fluo diving night dive and it opens up a new realm in night diving. I highly recommend it from both a visual and educational perspective. We have just booked a return visit for next year and expect a seamless experience. As with any remote 3rd world dive experience, there will always be challenges to our first world sensibilities, but the team at Wakatobi seem to earnestly strive to balance client comfort/experience with local/cultural sensitivity. All things considered with the remoteness of the location, the operation is first rate.

UW Photo Comments Wakatobi and the Pelagian are set up with the UWP in mind. Staff and facilities are excellent. In fact I became complacent and on one trip from the resort didn't bring my gear as I had gotten used to everything being taken care of. A speed boat was enlisted to rush my camera out to the Dhoni to ensure that I didn't miss the photo oportunities! First class service.
