Comments The resort is quite nice, the food is good, the staff says to be professional but is not. Total lack of flexibility. The diving according to DAN and PADI is unsafe because you get only 60 minutes between dive 1 and dive 2. If anything goes wrong it goes wrong. You are 2 hours flying away from the rest of the world. The plane that tgakes you in, takes you out too and there is nothing in between! We had a VERY bad dive guide, who ruined our (very expensive) holiday in Wakatobi. We asked for a change of guide or to be integrated in another group, but the dive management was unwilling to accomodate our request. Other guests had a toilet that did not work and were stuck with that inconvenience for 10 days. Others were without airco for the duration of their stay. The management could have repaired the toilet and airco by sacrificing their own, but did not do this. While we were at the resort they were building new bungalows and we had screaming power tools day in, day out. We made our complaints and were first told that we'd be offered a new discounted stay, but that was quickly withdrawn and in the end they kept stonewalling us and nothing came out. We had paid up front and that was the end of the story. The VIP treatment is a lot of hogwash and smoke blowing. We have been to far better places at far lower cost and with far better professional capabilities of the staff. The diving was nice but very similar to what you see in other sites in Indonesia and the Philippines at a far lower cost. The value for money ratio is non existant. This resort is enormously overrated.
