Dive Safari was 4 days covering 2 in Tulamben, and 2 days in Candidasa for the mola mola(none seen despite of 4 dives in search of them unfortunately..water was cold..though we wore 3 mm only..i had a mini hood), manta spotting(we saw 7 at manta pt)....Wonderful land based experience with Aquamarine Diving (through Lindsey Sinclair) arranging our dive safari with stays in Mimpi resort, Tulamben (Highly Recommended) and at Watergarden, Candidasa (so-so) mattress could have been softer, and finally at Purisaraswati in Ubud(commercialized busy part of Bali but massages and food very good). We did 4 dives/day in Tulamben and 4 dives/day in Candidasa. We saw all sorts of macro, mantis shrimp, nudibranchs incl 2 spanish dancers, and blue ribbon eel, ornate ghost pipefish, octopus, anemone crabs, mantas, bumphead parrot fish, groupers, pygmy seahorses (denise and barramundi and even a sea snake!!..Corals were diverse and colorful...swarms of anthias...incredible and great value for the money...there is a lot of packing/unpacking..but doable...we usually prefer liveaboards but this was one way to see Bali topside as well...after 4 dive days..we did white water rafting (highly recommended), land tour incl temples from royal family and tanah lot, visited monkey forest and also elephant ride at the elephant safari park....Highly recommend a stay at the Kayana Resort in Seminyak for 2 days after the dive safari...beautiful villa and best service.. good way to end your week at beautiful bali, indonesia.
