Comments This is the greatest place on earth! Excellent diving and a heck of a value.
This resort is small, only 6 bungalows. It's on a very steep hill not far from Manado and near Tasik Ria.
The resort is run by a dutch expatriate couple. He tends to the dive center and she to the grounds. They live on the grounds, and are attentive to all aspects of running a very upscale resort.
The grounds are a botanical fairytale. Orchids abound as well as many other tropical plants.
The rooms are very nice. Double or queen beds in an immaculate bedroom. A shower with stone walls and a toilet in a different part of the bungalow. There is a large house that would accommodate about 6 people, and then 3 individual bungalows.
And the diving. Ah yes. The house reef is remarkably nice with resident Mandarin Fish, Cuttlefish, etc. And it's is readily accessible.
And there is also a very spacious purpose-built dive boat. This boat will take you the hour ride to Bunaken National Park, or closer by if you wish. And because the resort is so small the most divers we had on the boat was 6!
For this luxury you'd expect to pay a premium. But you don't. It's very reasonably priced. A real diamond! But shhhh. Keep this one a secret for Undercurrent readers only!
Beware. There are TWO lumbalumbadiving resorts in Indonesia. The other is way west at Aceh. So be sure you look at the correct dive center! This one is in Manado, Sulawesi, Indonesia.

UW Photo Comments Separate rinse tank aboard for cameras. We took our camera gear to our room so we could look at our pictures so I can't comment about camera facilities at the dive shop.
