Comments The average diver would descend, have a look at their colleagues scouring the ocean floor and passing rocks and shells to each other and just get back in the boat, probably one of the many bound for the much more well-known resorts around relatively nearby Sipadan.

But if you are looking for both abundant and diverse nudibranchs Semporna Macro Critters is your happy place. We probably saw 15 to 20 nudis each dive, with approximately two of those being unusual species and an average of one rare or spectacular one each dive. An Ng is both the owner and only spotter at SMC. The farthest she goes is about 30 minutes from Semporna harbor. It's a huge area with both coral, which is in great shape, and muck sites. Basically, you go down and she starts to search, bringing you a rock or bit of rubble with a nudi on it. You take as long as you want to admire and/or shoot it, then pass it to someone else. If it's a shrimp or fish that can't be moved, she will call you. If you see her taking a photo, that means the find is rare.
