Comments The Good -- Very comfortable boat. Lots of space for sitting, relaxing, reading and drinking. Has a bar deck with good selection of wines and an excellent bartender.
Chef was very good mixing local foods with western cuisine.
The Best -- Found whale sharks, one we were able to snorkel with for over 10 minutes. One on the dive following our snorkel excursion. This was an exceptional encounter because my dive buddy and I had a whale shark to ourselves for at least 10 minutes.
The bad --Pretty pedestrian diving. Dive sites and timing put us on the reef with with other boats. Selected dive sites were not particularly exciting. Current was mild or non-existent on most dives. As a result fish life was not as expected and that's not a positive.
The Ugly -- Dive boat confrontation between guests and the staff about the quality of the dive sites culminated in a name calling, finger pointing ugly scene. Since we joined the boat two days into the trip our group stayed out of the way in this scuffle but it was something to remember.
This is a great boat for divers who want to relax and enjoy some easy diving. Don't expect exciting diving. My prior trip to the Maldives in 2002 was one of my best diving experiences with lots of current and pelagics this was great only because I had my first whale shark encounter
