Comments We arrived in Male a day earlier than needed because the tour operator did not let us know the schedule of the internal trip from Male to Hanimaadhoo until the day before we departed Singapore. If we had known we weren't leaving Male until late afternoon we would have spent more time in Singapore. There is nothing to do in Male and it is totally dry. There are places that look like bars but no alcohol is served.
By the time we got to Hanimaadhoo it was dark. We had to board a dhoni which took us to the boat and getting our gear organized was trying but the crew was very helpful. The cabins are nice and spacious enough. You can't charge things in your room and leave them unattended.
Diving was challenging. Because of strong currents we more often than not had to make negative entries to depths of 50+ feet into waters of marginal visibility. If we had known that reef hooks and safety sausages with spools were required we would have brought them with us. The crew was very helpful in assisting us into and out of the water. The dive guides were fabulous beyond belief. Nitrox was available for most of the trip until equipment broke down half way through the trip and we had to dive the rest of the trip on air. Most of us dove Nitrox and we were credited for the portion that was not used.
The boat was comfortable and well maintained. Our dive gear was kept on the dhoni. This made it inconvenient if you needed to make adjustments to your gear in between dives.

UW Photo Comments Dive table had ample charging stations with cubby holes to store your equipment when not in use. Compressed air was available for drying equipment. Occasionally someone left a coffee cup on the table but no mishaps of consequence occurred.
