Comments Kuredu is one of the larger island resorts in the Maldives. As such it caters for a lot of people. In fairness it does it pretty well with large buffet restaurants and several speciality restaurants for which you pay extra (not included in the all inclusive). We travelled with our 17 year old son and we had a "Sultan Villa" with a shared small pool and two accommodation areas, which was very nice.
There is a small 6 hole golf pitch and putt course and driving range and the only full size artificial soccer pitch in the Maldives.

Prodivers is the island dive franchise and they were very professional with good dive equipment and guides. Being a big resort meant that there were several dive dhonis going out each day which could get quite busy and I felt that some dive groups were too big at up to 10 divers with each guide. They offered "all day" excursions further afield - 3 dives and the opportunity to snorkel with Mantas, which we did on one trip.

They have quite a nice house reef, which has a small wreck and you can dive unguided in buddy pairs.

We snorkelled with Manatas on one trip and saw mobula rays and devil rays plus loads of turtles and some really interesting smaller critters, including leaf fish.

We didn't see any sharks, mainly in my view because the guides only dived conservative profiles and sites. There were several occasions when we arrived at the designated site, the guides did a current check and pronounced the current "too strong" and we moved to a much gentler site. I'm sure that the current was possibly too strong on some, but not all occasions, and that mixing of diver experience levels on the dhoni made them unwilling to try more advanced sites.

Overall, good resort diving with a decent operator but I'd go elsewhere if you want more exciting and advanced diving!
