Comments	This is a quick getaway if you live in Southern California from temperate waters in the 50's in San Diego to the mid 80's in the Sea of Cortez. Flight time from TJ to La Paz is just under 2 hours which is a nice departure from those super long international flights. The best dive season is October/November due to animal encounters, sea temperatures and surface conditions (think wind). A few things to consider: boat rides to the dive spots are usually 1.5 to 2 hours. The best dive season is Fall and it can get real hot like 100 F during the day. Water is very warm in the Fall. The town of La Paz is very nice and safe. Restaurants are mostly very good. The dive operation was well organized but it is imperative to check your gas pressure in the tanks provided before you leave the dock. I experienced some short fills that was immediately corrected before we set off. Fun Baja has a fleet of dive boats which is nice. Guides were excellent and very accommodating.
