Comments September 21-24 I travelled to Baja Sur and dove Cabo Pulmo for two days. I had not dived there for about 20 years. It was different in some ways, and the same in some ways. Still excellent overall. I did not see any sea lions, and perhaps less small tropicals, but much more fish overall, and much larger fish, in large schools, as well as eels, turtles, and rays. So, what you see is on some level the changing nature if the ecosystem, as with other places, but also the distinct benefits of careful resource management. Cabo Diving Station is an excellent operation. Otto, the divemaster, knows his stuff (both as to the diving aspect and the local critters) and is safety-conscious and friendly. The dive sites are close in. Just a fine time. I'll return.
