Comments 2 AM dives $110 + $25 for full rental, if needed. Afternoon dives or fishing only available if things are very calm, so can't be booked ahead or relied upon. 10% PayPal deposit required for reservations, and cash on site for balance. Brand new Panga. New rental gear. Lodging clean and basic, with kitchen and chest freezer for fish. Ours had no refrigerator, whereas others did. Meals purchased separately in 3 of the ONLY 6 local restaurants. No market. One snack shop on the main road open some days, and one minimally stocked store as part of one restaurant. We arrived at the end of four days of high winds and were blown out the first day. Only the more sheltered and less spectacular sites were accessible on our 2nd day. They gave us a choice of the northern-most near-shore reefs and a short boat ride, or a 30 minute one to the southern-most near shore reefs. They would also have sent a guide car with us to drive the 20+ minutes south and do a beach pick-up drop off if desired to avoid the boat time. Divemaster Marco was very good. Briefing was clear, and explained why free-roaming wasn't feasible in drift diving the steady intermediate currents. Took extra care of our one beginning diver. Went out 6 to a boat that could handle up to 8. Owner/Captain was good also. We will go back and do business with them again to enjoy the town and see the better reefs. SUMMARY - great, locally owned, small Mexican dive operator for a rural area. Don't expect resort standard facilities. The only reefs we could get to due to conditions were unspectacular. But the area has such a good reputation, I'll try on more time in the future.

UW Photo Comments No specific UW camera set ups on any companies Panga that I could see. They bring out a clean tub of fresh water for all gear after you get in, and will do a separate one for cameras. They know how to transfer and protect cameras on the boat. Because we dove the lesser reefs right after they were stirred up, conditions were still turbid, and things weren't far out of their crevices. But even so, the inner reefs don't look that spectacular, despite it being a National Park for 20+ years, and a designated UNESCO World Heritage site.
