Comments The diving around Zihuatanejo is not spectacular, but its not bad either. There was a surprising amount of hard coral at shallower depths. We were lucky to see a pair of Giant Manta Rays on one dive. It is apparently rare to see them. We encountered green turtles, a number of tropical fish, numerous small octopi, and seahorses. The owner, Thierry, is a joy. This is low-key panga diving. Thierry gives excellent briefings and has a very relaxed, pleasant attitude. He leads the dives while his captain follows from above. He caters the dives to the experience level of the divers. Thierry is very adept at finding and pointing out seahorses and other small critters.

Thierry is the grandson of the person who started Carlo Scuba. After the dives he tends to offer up some beverages on the house.

Overall I enjoyed the experience very much.
