Comments I wish someone had told me not to go in May. Even though I'm a very "seasoned" diver, I came very close to hanging up my fins. The water was colder and rougher than expected. The surges were insane, 10-15 feet up and down, up and down. The viz left a lot to be desired. The giant, oceanic mantas were amazing and I'm glad I got to see them, but I am not planning on returning.
