Fish N Fins is more than a family business; it's a commitment to the nation of Palau in relation to tourism, environmental development and stewardship, and support of the people. The Bornovski's have invested time, money, effort and family into Palau over the 30 years they've been there; and it shows. Navot, with a degree in Marine Engineering, has an obsessive commitment to diver safety in the structure of Ocean Hunter 3 and his land based operation, while Tova is a force of nature in relation to environmental issues and wild life preservation. They are both widely respected and well known throughout Palau. Ocean Hunter 3 is one of the best run live aboards in the Pacific. The crew is extremely professional, the boat is immaculate and there is nothing too small or too large that they will not provide for divers. One diver even requested a submarine for exploration ! They could organize it but not on short notice!! The diving in Palau is just wonderful. The diversity of the reefs, their state of preservation and the large creatures that inhabit them is breath taking. And the small critters are equally abundant if macro is what you are after. Their dive guides will lead you as closely as is required or as you request. The ratio is based on diver experience and safety, and they are never intrusive. From kids to handicapped divers to elderly folks who may just want to snorkel, all are catered for with respect and great care, making Fish N Fins a premier dive company whether you dive land based or from Ocean Hunter. Unlike other companies in Palau, there is very little turn over of dive guides, consistent with the stability of leadership and satisfaction with work conditions by the guides and crew. Diving with Fish N Fins is an experience that I can never get enough of! |

UW Photo Comments | The photographer is very well attended to on board and on land. On Ocean Hunter 3, there is by far, the largest photographic station I have ever seen, along with all of the amenities ; air blower, dozens of power sockets, good lighting, good ventilation, huge rinse tanks. No crowding here, since the design has been well thought through and is clearly dedicated to the photographer. |
