Comments Fish 'n Fins runs day boats out of Koror to the most popular dive sites. The boat rides are about 45 minutes each way. The boats have fairly spacious, covered dive stations and dry storage areas. Water bottles are provided but no towels. Dive trips can be either 2 or 3 tanks sometimes returning to Koror after the 2nd tank. Lunch (usually a sandwich) is taken on a beach. Lunch is provided for both 2 and 3 tank trips. Fish 'n Fins has gear rinse tanks and gear storage.

The dive crew was generally helpful and friendly but had a bit of a tendency to over-manage the divers. In addition, the dive guides went to fast while touring walls and coral gardens. On one occasion, the dive guide showed my some bi-color dartfish, which I proceeded to photograph. Then, within a minute or 2, he motioned for me to keep up with the rest of the divers. WTF!! Fish 'n Fins provided daily transportation to/from the Palau Royal Resort.

The Palau Royal Resort (PRR) is centrally located south of downtown Koror near both Fish 'n Fins and Neco Marine. It provides nice rooms and good food but is somewhat pricey. It has a big pool, a small beach and a man-made, shallow reef. There is no in-room WiFi; WiFi is available in the restaurant at no charge. I was taken aback when I read the notice in the bathroom that the water was not potable. PRR provided 2 complimentary bottles of water. Not enough for a 5 night stay. Thereafter, drinkable water had to be purchased in the gift shop. Pretty tacky for a rather expensive resort.

The staff at the PRR was generally helpful and friendly.

UW Photo Comments Fish 'n Fins had camera rinse available both dockside on the dive boat. No camera table on dive boat. Crew handled camera gear efficiently and carefully.

Very limited macro-photography marine life.
