Comments This is our second trip to Manta Ray Bay Resort and Yap. The weather was a bit overcast in February but the skies would clear each day. The resort continues to do a great job. Our room was really great, 205 I think (the Spanish Dancer room). The staff is always friendly and things are pretty buttoned down. The dive staff is one of the best I have ever dived with. They do push the Manta dive but as we had 7 on our first dive so we just told the DM we had seen enough and wanted to see other things. The food (other than breakfast which I thought was great) could use some improvement still. The regular menu gets a bit long in the tooth and sometimes the kitchen confuses orders. We ordered a Mangrove crab dinner ahead of going, to give them time to catch them, and it was superb. The thing was hugh and there was so much food it was too much to eat. The Oasis restaurant across the street from the resort is a nice asian change of pace. Also the resort up on the hill (Yap Pacific Resort) is a nice place to get a decent meal also. All in all MRBR does a super job.

UW Photo Comments No real accommodations on the boat. I carry a collapsible soft sided cooler which the crew would fill with fresh water. I've said before but this is a great option for the serious UW photographer. The dive shop has a great setup for dealing with your camera after the dive, very impressive to have inspection lights, padded counter and compressed air.
