Comments This was our 10th trip to Palau and third consecutive year diving with Neco. After accomplishing pre-dive paperwork at Neco's office/marina, we set up our gear on the dive boat. Gear remained on the boat for the entire 5 days of diving and was cleaned, washed, dried by the staff and set up before the next day's trip. After the first day, we were picked up each morning by boat at the Palau Pacific's dock. Excellent boxed lunches were provided for the three Nitrox tank dive days. Fabio was our divemaster for the second year and immediately worked with us to schedule desired sites for our party of 4. When additional divers were on board, Neco provided another divemaster for that group. At most we had 10 divers on the 18 diver capacity boat. If a site was crowded with dive boats, Fabio had alternate sites nearby so that time available was optimized in the water and not on the boat. Sites dived were excellent with a variety of fishes and corals giving many photo ops for all. We saw sharks on almost every dive, mantas doing their graceful loops at German channel, the fish parades at Blue Corner, and more turtles than you could count at Dexter's Wall. Small critters were pointed out by Fabio along the walls for all to enjoy. Returning from the dives, our boat captain took us on tours of the Rock Islands that contributed to our enjoyment of the islands. Our stay at Palau Pacific Resort was our tenth and obviously merited each return visit. The staff provides service with a genuine concern for their guests. Rooms are spacious and very clean and well provided for. Food at any of the three eating establishments is varied and prepared to meet one's desires. PPR has added almost nightly local entertainment providing insights into the local culture. Highly recommend combining Neco and Palau Pacific Resort for a land based dive vacation as both organizations combine their resources to produce a vacation to cherish and return to.
