Comments The only thing we wish we had known before we left home was to clear our schedule for the week after our booked week on the Aggressor, so that when we learned there were cabins available due to cancellations for the week subsequent to ours we could have stayed on the boat!

The entire experience was nothing short of amazing. Captain Mike and Amanda run a top-notch ship that should set the standard for the entire Aggressor fleet. Their passion and enthusiasm for diving, safety, and preservation of the marine life is abundantly evident, and sets the tone for the rest of the crew. I would be hard pressed to imagine a more skilled and professional crew than what we found on this trip.

The diving was the best we have experienced to date; a wonderland of sharks, large schools of fish, gorgeous walls, healthy and brilliant hard and soft corals, and interesting little critters too. Our first dive presented more to see than many dive trips have in an entire week. My husband and I found ourselves surfacing at the end of the first dive with mouths hanging open in astonishment, as we said, "when are we coming back??" I found myself assuming the first dive or two of the day would be good, and then it would be just dropping us in the water somewhere to check off dives 3 and 4, as it often is the case with other operators. To my amazement, dive after dive, day after day, was as spectacular as our first dive.

The accommodations were fabulous; spacious and well designed with plenty of space to settle in for the week. The dive deck was undoubtedly designed specifically for divers, with every detail accounted for. Accessing our gear, suiting up and travel to and from the dive sites could not have been made any easier. Dive briefings were thorough and relevant, and dives were always planned mindful of the currents to maximize our diving experience.

My husband and I were not Nitrox certified when we arrived, and had never really given the idea any thought. Fortunately, the crew recommended right away that we begin the Nitrox course on board and suggested that we would find ourselves frustrated with our bottom times in comparison to the other divers. Fortunately, we heeded their advice, and are so grateful we did. Every dive was a full 60 minutes, and according to our air computers I would have been in deco by my second day of diving. If you are not already Nitrox certified, I would highly recommend either getting certified before going or planning to do so on board. The crew are very helpful with the course and it is painless to get through during the week.

And then there was the food. Scott prepared nothing short of gourmet meals three times a day, with fabulous snacks in between. Fresh fish, pastas, homemade desserts; definitely do not plan on losing any weight during the week!

In short, Captain Mike and Amanda run a first rate ship that will likely be very hard to ever top. Their hospitality really put the finishing touches on an already perfect week, and we will always have fond memories of our trip. We would highly recommend this trip, and only hope we can return while they are still running the ship!!
