Comments	Timor is the newest country in S.E.Asia and just emerging from violent and unstable past. So visitors come here to experience the unexplored NOT for 5 star food or service. Dive Timor does valiant work providing good dive service and backpacker accommodation is comfortable enough. For those wanting better accommodation there are 4 star hotels not far away in town. However the bottom line is the maine life was nothing special. Some nice corrals. Small reef fish. Some interesting critters. Being the only divers in the water is a lovely experience. The area is touted as having amazing marine biodiversity in the Coral Triangle - perhaps is you are interested in a few rare critters you will be happy - but for overall marine life - you can see more in one day diving around Koh Tao Thailand for example than a week diving Timor Leste.
