Comments WOW!!...what a fantastic trip...we were 11 nites at ElGalleon with 36 dives over 10 days. We give this resort and Asia divers FIVE stars!! Dives are 60 minute boat only so you can get in up to four dives a day. Boats are traditional Bangka or speed boat - we preferred traditional Bangka ! Our package was all inclusive thus three meals a day with beverage (and cookies) between dives. Room was as advertised up a hill (50 steps for us) and was nice and cleaned everyday. Where to begin? Breakfast was a delicious buffet by Miss Rosalyn. Lunch and dinner were from the same special menu for "full board" folks like us and included appetizer, meal and dessert. Absolutely no problem selecting off said "full board" menu. Delicious grub served by the sweetest gals ever. Everyone on staff greets you by name. If there is a large group staying at the resort and they have selected the buffet package for lunch and dinner, you can also choose the buffet. If you experience any issue at the resort, Allan or Ruby will jump on it quickly for resolution.

The folks at Asia Divers are the best!..While all the dive masters were highly attentive, we favored Rueben or Ferdi who seemed to find the most interesting subjects. Diony and Domingo handled our gear with utmost perfection. They setup and break down your gear as well as bring it to the boat. Whether the Bangka or speed boat, you enter water with a backwards roll off gunnel. After dive, one hands up weights, bc and fins before climbing ladder to re-board. Some folks chose to climb ladder with their bc on no problem. We did experience some current at some of the dive sites. All dives were drift. 3 stars for beginner divers due to boat diving, currents and initial dive depth. All dive sites are no more than 10 minutes from dock (except our trip to Verde Island - a MUST see). ElGalleon has a dock from which you board your boat - why do I say this? - because all the other dive boat operations in the area donot have a dock - their Bangka's gets very close to shore thus one wades in bit to board those boats. Will we go back? You betcha. Our package included a private taxi from MNL south (2 hours) to where we took a private Bangka to resort (one hour).

PS: Tina from Island Dreams set this trip up for us (she ROCKS!)
