Comments It is a bit of “planes, trains, and automobiles” to get to the tiny village of Sabang Beach, but will worth the effort. The town exists for scuba diving. There are over 40 dive operations, catering to various nationalities.

Frontier Scuba was a first rate operation. Making plans via email was simple, with quick responses. The shop was also able to make transport and hotel plans. They met us at the dock and transported our gear to the shop and our bags to the hotel. The dive shop was a two minute walk from the hotel.

We were paired with other divers of similar experience, while new divers we on other boats. Our dive master, Ton, was excellent. Almost all dive sites are a 5-10 minute boat ride from the dive shop. The only exceptions are Manila Channel (30 minutes) and Verde Island (1.5 hours). Single tank dives, with departures at 9:00, 11:00, and 2:00. Times can be flexible. Verde Island is a two-tank dive that departs at 9:00.

Coral is very healthy. Dozens of nudibranchs on every dive. Lots of smaller fish, including many frog fish. Verde Island is absolutely worth the extra time.
