Comments A fan of the Siren Fleet, the Philippines version lived up to the Siren reputation for quality and service. The converted schooners are a pleasure to roam and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. They handled all of our equipment, even washing and drying our wetsuits, and their smiles did not fade throughout the trip.

Tubbataha is well-protected and park rangers gave a brief lecture on the rules and regulations prior to our first dive. We encountered whitetip sharks on every dive, large schools of fish of varying size and healthy reefs. Soft and hard coral of diversified terrain with just about every type of reef fish, I charted 13 different types of butterfly fish alone, plus an encounter with a large octopus who tried to steal my GoPro:

Tubbataha may be a trek but it is the reason we dive.
