Comments Diverse Divers is an excellent, professionally run scuba operation, based in Aqaba Jordan. The dive shop is modern and close to the dock. Their boat, the Diversity, is used for day trips, but may also be used as a mini liveaboard with nice staterooms below. Guests can stay aboard, but the boat returns to the dock every day. All well maintained dive equipment is available and extra wetsuits were available on board in case anyone got cold. Water/coffee/tea and healthy snacks were provided between dives. The crew was friendly, fun and helpful, and always available to answer any and all questions. Gear left on the boat for multi day trips was cleaned and set up, ready to go when we came back the next day.
Proof of vaccination was required to board the boat. At the end of our 3 days of diving, an independent lab dispatched techs to the boat, to collect COVID samples for testing and results were available in 24-48 hours, for those of us flying out.
Fall water temp was about 78F, visibility was easily >100 feet. Minimal currents, although one day it was strong enough to pull out the mooring line with our boat attached. A bit of a rough reentry, but had lots of help getting back on the boat. Depth of dives range from 60-100 ft, depending on certifications. Most dives were about 45-60 minutes.
Dives sites included wrecks (ships, planes, and a "museum" of old military equipment), walls, and coral gardens. Reefs are healthy with eels, frogfish, pipefish, turtles, nudibranchs, etc. A resident humpback dolphin will occasionally greet the boat as it leaves or returns to the dock.
Really enjoyed diving with this operation. Safety is a high priority, both above and below the water. Omar, the founder, goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great experience.
