Comments We dove two charters back to back on the Emperor Elite. The crew was amazing - one of the hardest working crews I have ever seen. They were constantly trying to make the trip the best experience possible for each guest.

The downsides were two: 1. There is no dedicated Camera area. During the first weeks charter, virtually all of the divers had large photo rigs and the only place to work on them was in the lounge. The eecond item was the wind. We had steady 5-20 knot winds with higher gusts. This mostly impacted us on the transits. The Captain was very good at finding moorings tucked on the leeward side of the reefs we were diving and the wind did not bother us when once underwater. We did have a few times we dove from the Zodiacs that required heading for the windward side of the reefs in 4-5' waves.

The Red Sea is the playground for European divers. Don't expect to see other Americans.
