Comments Spent a week at Four Seasons Resort, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. Used their in-house dive operation, Sinai Blue - very professional set up.
My son was diving with me. He is recently certified and had a fabulous time. They schedule 3 dives a day (9am, 11.30 and 2pm with optional night dives). However, guided dives on House Reef (which is excellent) available at any time. We had 3 dives on the House Reef and 3 dives on high quality sites nearby, including Straits of Tiran. These 3 dives were on a rib and no site is more than 15 minutes away from the jetty. Good briefings and quality divemasters. Nitrox is available and a range of 12 and 15 litre tanks plus 15 litre steel tanks. The quality of the reefs is outstanding. Great coral (soft and hard, including Gorgonians) and loads of reef fish. We also saw Ghost Pipefish, large Dogtooth Tuna, Turtle, myriad interesting small critters, big shoals of fish. The highlight was a very large and unusual shark-like creature which our guide couldn't identify but the resident Marine Biologist identified as a Mako Shark! We dived as 2 plus Dive Guide (3 of us plus Guide on 1 dive) - so an extremely personal service. After the first dive, everything is set up for you by friendly dive crew. It's literally a giant stride onto the excellent House Reef or max 15 mins to the other sites. The resort is luxurious but expensive, as is the diving. This is quality diving made easy, although some of the sites were reasonably advanced wall/drift dives.
