Comments We had an excellent time, and love the live-aboard experience. The crew of CEX was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Chef Tuna did an impressive job meal after meal, and even a picky eater like me with an allergy thrown in came away very impressed. There were only 6 guests on board this week (there is room for 18) so we had a luxurious amount of space on the dive deck, sundeck, and dining room. Our cabin was small with limited space to unpack, but was clean and met expectations. You could dive up to 5 times per day, and you could also eat 5 times per day! Throw in the odd nap here and there, and the days just flew by. The seas were unusually calm this week, so Captain Ian gave us a very smooth voyage and we were fortunate enough to dive some sites that are not typically visited by CEX when the weather is rougher and the group is bigger.

Although not as well travelled as many people who leave reviews on this site, my husband and I thought that Saba and St. Kitts had excellent diving - beautiful reefs and coral pinnacles, sand and grass to poke through, and some wrecks. Lots of corals, sponges, fish, and critters. Bigger stuff included multiple sightings of turtles, curious nurse sharks, stingrays. There were lots of amusing critters to find in the sand and countless species of fish and shellfish on the reefs which I dutifully tried to identify after each dive with the help of the dive staff and other divers.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We definitely recommend Saba and St Kitts as well as Explorer Ventures, and are looking forward to booking a future trip with Explorer Ventures.
